This comic was written and created quite a few weeks before I saw the underwhelming Amazing Spider-Man 2. Before I saw it, I thought it had a great chance of being #1 at the box office on its third week, relegating Godzilla to some lower box office number. Well, the worm has turned. Spider-Man burned out fans with a months-long media blitz and ultimately, just wasn't very good. In fairness, Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone were amazing. It was the movie that surrounded them that let me down.
That said, its still worth seeing on the big screen. The character of Spider-Man, from his costume to his webslinging to his attitude has never been better. This is the first REAL portrayal of THE Spider-Man on the big screen. Go check it out. And then go see Godzilla... if you're into that sort of thing.
