Andrew Garfield was the embodiment of Spider-Man. Silly, charismatic, heroic and a little romantic. He did it all and did it better then anyone who has ever pulled on the red and blue tights. While he played Peter Parker like he was Ferris Bueller I can ignore that since he was charming as hell. Emma Stone was adorable, sweet and intelligent. The chemistry between herself and Garfield was great for the second movie in a row.
It wasn’t all candy canes and web shooters for this film. There were plenty of bad moments which was enough to make a kind of so-so film. Jamie Fox did his best Mr. Freeze impersonation. Dane DeHaan’s wooden acting was pretty poor, granted he didn’t have much to work with. The script was overstuffed and it showed with the hurried plot.
In the end, the good out weighted the bad and I enjoyed the movie. It just wasn’t the Spider-Man flick I’d had hoped for.-Soss
