Reading a Grant Morrison book is like signing up for a minimum of five minutes of absolute confusion. Sometimes it pays off with a tale that excites and captivates your imagination and other times you are left upset with yourself having been tricked into wasting your money once again. I'm not sure which option is applicable for Nameless #1.
Nameless follows a man, who will remain... well you get it... who has stolen a powerful object know as the Dream Key. To avoid capture from The Veiled Woman and her fish men our hero must use every trick in the occult handbook. Sound crazy yet? But wait... there's more!! There is an asteroid headed to destroy earth and only our nameless hero can help. All he has to do is travel to the moon and join a team of space scientists to do so.
I'm ashamed to say that even though I had no idea what was going on for three fourth's of this book that I'm intrigued. Chris Burnham's artwork is top-notch and Morrison's mix of magic and science has me hooked. At the very least, I'm excited to see where the heck these fish men come from. -Soss
