Benedict Cumberbatch. He's taken a beating here before. And my initial opinion still stands: he's an unattractive man.
Since that post, the only Cumberbatch movies I've seen are Star Trek Into Darkness and 12 Years A Slave. He was stellar in both. (I discount the Hobbit movies because its just his voice.) But, I've seen him in a whole bunch of interviews and media appearances, and he's quite a charming guy. I can understand why the ladies are taken with him. He seems genuine and appreciative of his success, and does a slick Alan Rickman impression.
So the question is, do I think he'll be a good Doctor Strange? Yes. I think if you give him the character Brian K. Vaughan wrote in The Oath, he'll be stellar. He may be hard on the eyes, but he's a talented guy. There's a serious part of me that's disappointed DC wasn't able to land him for something, but dems the breaks, I guess.
So keep on keeping on Benedict. The Cumberbitches love you and, hard to admit as it is, I kind of do too.
