Breakfast Is Coming For You

The initial idea of Count Chocula actually being Nosferatu was my brother's idea. It needed to become part of McSoss lore. I've never been a big fan of the monster cereals (sorry Brizzy), and if they marketed Count Chocula like the above, I'd be afraid to have it in my house.

Most of the time when I look back at old black and white horror movies (usually on the recommendation of my mother) the "scare" falls flat and winds up being more corny than anything. 1922's Nosferatu is a different story. That vampire is fucking terrifying. Nosferatu and Barlow in 1979's Salem's Lot are the scariest vampire visuals I've ever seen. Clearly one inspired the other.

As much as I appreciate classic dracula, if you really want to keep me up at night, Nosferatu and Barlow are the way to go.
