Soss' Pull-List Reviews 1/24/13

Captain America #3
I trust Jason Aaron. He has written some of the best comics of the past several years. I'm not hating this inter-dimensional version of Cap....but it sure is weird.

Cap teams up with some underground trolls to protect young Ian (great name!). The rest of the book splices in flashbacks to young Steve getting his ass kick in the 1930's and more insight to how much of a bastard his father was. The book concludes with Cap discovering that he has an alien head in his chest. Yeah....

Saga #9
I'm not sure why Gint gets so uptight about loving this book. I'm going to start putting a DC sticker over the Image logo to make him forget that the best book on the stands doesn't come from his precious favorite comic company.

The Will teams up with Marko's finance Gwendolyn to rescue young Slave Girl from Sextillion. There is some really solid back and forth between the two bounty hunters. I loved the interaction tactics used by The Will and Lying Cat.

There was something strange about the coloring of the book this week. Nothing so awful that it took me out of the story, but Fiona Staples' color palette was noticeably different. -Soss

Panel of the Week: Surprise! You have a evil face in your chest!
