I just can't stop depicting the studio heads at Fox or Warner Bros. as old, fat white guys. Because well, that's who they are. And I don't really believe that's how they coerced Bryan Singer into giving Jennifer Lawrence a starring role in X-Men: Days of Future Past. Does it make sense why it was Mystique's DNA Bolivar Trask needed and not a mutant who actually HAD mutant mimicking abilities? No, it doesn't. But J.Law is popular and looks good in blue body paint. Done.
Aside from some minor glitches like the one above, Days of Future Past was pretty enjoyable. I can put my comic nitpicking aside for a few hours. So if you get a chance to go see X-Men, get out there and do it. Its much better than Amazing Spider-Man 2, though probably not as good as Captain America: The Winter Solder.
