Amazing X-Men #7
The story reunites the cast of the 80s cartoon Spiderman and his Amazing Friends for what appears to be a one-shot adventure. Firestar, Iceman and Spider-Man team up to save the life of a strange alien baby and get him back to his parents. It seems like the majority of the story revolves around Spiderman explaining to the X-men how he was brain-swapped with Dr. Octopus in the events of Superior Spiderman.
It's a nice, intimate one shot and those are rare in todays comics
. I did have a problem with the way that Bobby Drake was written. His dialogue and actions were almost identical to Peter Parker’s. I know they are similar characters but this might as well have been just a Firestar and Spidey book.
Paco Medina did a wonderful job with the page layout. Really great and energetic illustrations with lots of fun Spiderman web-slinging action.
The problem I have is I am uncertain if this is the new creative team or just a fill-in. If this was the regular team I'd highly recommend the book but I am unsure at this point. -Soss
