This horror comic by Cullen Bunn and Vanesa R. Del Rey is centered around a pandemic of "contagious insanity". When a pattern is discovered in an outbreak of gruesome suicides the FBI and CDC get involved to get to the bottom of this disease the public refers to as The Empty Man.
I love the idea behind this book. Since we don't get confirmation on what the disease actually is there's a great deal of tension that builds for the reader as the story moves along.
My only complaint would be that Del Rey's pencils are very difficult to read. Her sketchy lines set an overall tone that fits the story, but I can't tell what is going on in some panels. This is definitely a much improved effort for Boom Studios and worth the read. -Soss
