Who Needs the Moon? is an independently published comic from Canadian writer/illustrator Todd McCullough. I thought the cover was intresting and I always like a good horror book. Plus it was only 99 cents!
The first book follows werewolf Ethan Roland as he tracks down a group of vampires to the town of Kingsford. Most of the book spends time getting the reader familiar with this sleepy town with monsters hiding in its shadows.
The art style of this book is light and cartoonish. I'm not sure how effective that will be once we start to dive further into the more ghoulish aspects of the series.
After one issue I'm entertained enough to come back for more. McCullough also has a Pay What You Feel option on his site at gumroad.com so you could in theory try out the first issue for free then pay what you like for the additional books. - Soss
