Putting The Fun In Funshine

Sometimes you get a comic strip idea and it has no bearing (no pun intended) on anything going on in your life. I can't even remember the last time I saw Care Bears - but here it is. That particular Care Bear is called Funshine for those not in the know. See, you also learn things doing a twice-weekly comic when you're forced into research.

I saw Guardians of the Galaxy last weekend and dare I say I loved it. My chief fear was that it would feel more like Brian Michael Bendis' self-serving current version of the book, but instead, the characters were well developed and were truer to the Dan Abnett/Andy Lanning run on the title. Aside from the complete castration of the Nova Corps, it really surpassed all my expectations.

If you haven't seen it yet, or weren't planning on it, I recommend it. It was a huge, fun ride through the best parts of a space fantasy.
