It was Peter Tomasi and Patrick Gleason's Batman and Robin that most recently made me think of Ra's al Ghul and the immortal Lazarus Pit. The lore is when you immerse someone at death's door into a Lazarus Pit, they will be healed. The side effect is you come back a little crazy. Ra's has been doing this to stay alive for centuries. After all this time, I would expect a genius like Ra's to find a better delivery system for the Pit's restorative waters. Hence, the Lazarus Shower.
