So Thor is a chick now. Chances are in the near future (at least by the time Avengers 2 comes out) the male Thor will be back wielding Mjolnir. But for now his book is getting cancelled to make way for a brand new #1 featuring this female Thor. We don't know who the character IS or what her circumstances are, but good on Marvel for not only appeasing the current comic book climate that clamors for diversity, but also cashing in on what will undoubtedly be a first-issue cash cow.
I know Marvel is now a Disney property, who also owns ABC, but isn't it odd that Disney/Marvel keep introducing news like this on The View? Isn't there a better alternative than a show whose audience ISN'T comic book fans?
