Days of Future Past: Part 22
Happy Halloween and Happy Mo-vember to everyone!
Sometimes the only way to fix a problem, or a dystopian future, is with a lightsaber through the mechanical heart. Drawing lightsaber stuff is a pretty fun time. Drawing Soss getting his ass handed to him was bittersweet.
For the first time in maybe ever, I'm more excited about an X-Men property than any other. The X-Men: Days of Future Past (great title) trailer premiered this week. Watch it here.
Did you watch it? Holy shit does that movie look fucking amazing. Moreso than, well... few movies in the past so many years have given me the goosebumps that this trailer did. But that's just it, right? Its just a trailer. I remember getting pretty jazzed about the Superman Returns trailers too. We know how that worked out (fail). But this time director Bryan Singer seems right at home, back where he made his bank.
I guess nerds are all riled up that Wolverine is the one who goes back in time to unite Professor X and Magneto and not Kitty Pryde. Well guess what nerds, Wolverine sells tickets, for as well-liked as Juno was, K.P. doesn't. Its a good move. And I'm sure not the only one that takes place adapting a 2-issue comic book story into a 2-plus hour movie.
Don't fade it. This looks good.
