Days of Future Past: Part 15
Some of us preserve the future, some of us destroy it. Tomato, tomahto, right? What's a little sacrificing of close friends and relatives? Brizzle at least would be totally content spending the rest of his days basking in front of Golden Girls 3D.
My real television season starts this week. Supernatural Season 9 opens tomorrow and Season 2 of Arrow premieres Wednesday. Hart of Dixie also premiers this week, but that shows not really for this space. We're a good week or two into most other shows including the underwhelming Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. but Supernatural and Arrow are really the shows that get me excited. Its not just because of their DC/Warner Bros. connection either.
Supernatural has had its share of ups and down, amazing seasons, and less than ones, but as a whole its never disappointed. Even when it looked like it was on the cancellation bubble quite a few times.
Arrow is entering Season 2 which means it should be a well-oiled machine at this point. Its had an entire (successful) season to find itself and its characters and its in a place to hit the ground running. I was surprised last year with how much I liked it and I'm just as surprised at how amped I am for the premiere this week. Sometimes, DC gets it right.
Some people (Image Matt) like movies. But television is the currency I trade in.
