Hawkeye Annual #1
Kate Bishop is the star of the show in Hawkeye Annual #1. I've really grown to love Matt Fraction’s take on this character and was pleased to see her take center stage. I loved Katie's cartoon narrative balloons. It was another small touch that makes Hawkeye a consistently interesting read.
I did have a major problem with the art. Javier Pulido would have been a fine choice if he wasn't so damn lazy. Every page in this book has a silhouette in at least one of the panels. There are entire pages that are exclusively silhouettes. It's almost like Kate Bishop is battling an army of shadow people. When he actually brings himself to draw a whole character Pulido's art has the 1960's vibe that the fan's expect from this title. It's niceI just wish there was more of it -Soss
Panel of the Week: Kate Bishop fight's Javier Pulido's laziness.
