First and foremost, allow me to confirm that this isn't a slight on Jim Lee. I'm a big Jim Lee fan. Love his work and he seems like a genuinely nice guy. And being a DC fan, I'm glad Lee hitched his wagon to this particular horse. Being that I'm generally disinterested in creator-owned work (hypocritical, I know) I'd rarely see him if he wasn't at DC.
Bottom line, when someone says "its about the art, not the money" be it in comics, music whatever. They're a fucking liar. No matter how hippy-hipster you are, if someone offers to pay you more, you're not going to turn it down.
