Avengers vs X-Men is this years big all-compassing Marvel event. Over the past few years I've been increasingly disillusioned with both DC and Marvel's handling of their line wide crossovers. It interrupts the narrative that are happening in the various books leaving creators only 6 months out of the year to tell the tales they had in mind.
My pet peeve with AXV are the tie-ins. Rarely do they add to the main story and typically they feel out of step, so it feels like you are constantly reading yesterdays news. If yesterdays news involved fire gods from another planet solving world hunger.-$
