From the perspective of the potential home invader, aside from the initial scare when the victim wakes up wearing that mask, its the realization that this "victim" had this all planned... so then it becomes who's the victim??? (cue spooky music)
I think I'd be terrible in a home invasion scenario. Wearing that mask would be my only bit of solace when hearing someone rustling through the house in the middle of the night. Though by the time I get to put it to use, I'd probably be passed out from inhaling my own carbon dioxide for a couple hours.
Why a Pennywise mask? Because Pennywise is my personal face of fear. Tim Curry's portrayal when I was a young lad has left an indelible mark on my psyche. Sure, there's other scary imagery – Kyoko from The Grudge, Slender Man, the Babadook is no walk in the park – but Curry's Pennywise will always be the front runner.
