The situation with the confederate flag is multi-layered. It's a symbol of hate, not state’s rights. Let's get that straight. It was never officially used by the Confederate Army during the Civil War. It was more infamously and widely adopted by KKK in the Jim Crow era South. In the aftermath of the massacre in South Carolina the only logical thing to do was to remove it from any and all government facilities.
However I don’t agree with some of the overreactions. Last week TVLand removed The Dukes of Hazzard from its programing schedule. Hazzard County is a fictional place and having that flag on a make believe car is worlds different then having it fly in front of a state building. -Soss
