A whimsical take on the origin of Hank Pym and how he eventually came to create Ultron. We what influenced the scientific and creative sides of his mind. I've never been interested in Ant-Man/Goliath/Yellow Jacket but I did enjoy this retelling of his beginnings.
Andre Lima Araujo's pencils, cartoony and light, were the perfect compliment to Mark Waid's light hearted tale of the young Mr. Pym.
Hawkeye #11
Twenty two pages told through the eyes of Lucky the dog. That's what you get this time out in Hawkeye. It sounds boring but trust me it's pretty awesome! Fraction and Aja are nothing if not inventive.
It took me all of two minutes to make it through this book but is was a ton of fun. All the panels were broken down into shapes and symbols as you follow the story of a dog and his quest for pizza. Oh, and there was a murder or something that happened too.
A fun and brisk book that I'd recommend if only for the novelty.
Thor: God of Thunder #9
The three Thor's arrive at The Black World of Gorr to do battle with The God Butcher. We learn about where Gorr draws his power from but most of this book is an all out throwdown between Gorr and the Mighty Thor's.
Lot's of dynamic action leads into a major cliffhanger that left me counting down the days until the next issue hits the shelves. -Soss
