I had a tough time coming up with what the Soultron Force’s
mission should be. Should they save a princess? Slay a dragon? I settled on
sending them to rescue the embodiment of one of the most treasured shows in
black culture, The Soul Train.
The Soul Train in this universe keeps everything grooving along
on time…. well, a couple of minutes late. I was inspired by an episode of The Twilight Zone my family
and I routinely watch. The plot of Of Late I Think of Cliffordville centers on
selling your soul to the devil but we always would refer to the time traveling
train as The Soul Train. I thought something similar would work as the focal
point for these strips. -Soss
