The CW has to have the most diverse lineup of shows of the basic cable networks. You go from one extreme to the other with shows like Hart of Dixie and The Carrie Diaries to Supernatural and Arrow. They must be doing something right because a lot of the CW's current lineup has been around for a long time. The Vampire Diaries (much to my surprise) is in its 5th season and Supernatural is in its 9th.
Stretching back to when it was still The WB, the network has been responsible for cult hits and syndication standards like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, 7th Heaven, Smallville, Gilmore Girls and Veronica Mars.
I've been shit on quite a bit over the years for liking the The CW, but the numbers don't lie. The network has produced a lot of quality gems over the years. At least one of SOMETHING to fit in anyone's wheelhouse.

Ps, I would LOVE to see the Supernatural/Carrie Diaries crossover. Supernatural has done tongue-in-cheek episodes before. Just need to get The Carrie Diaries on board.
