I like Mark Ruffalo. I really do. From 13 Going On 30 to The Kids Are All Right, I'm a fan. I'm also a fan of comic books and the characters within. So I know that there's a lot more depth to Steve Rodgers or Bruce Banner than the general public knows about. But when an actor says something like the above (which is a direct quote) it just sounds pretentious.
Chances are pretty good I said that about Mallrats though. I'll stand by it to this day.
