I refuse to believe the Empire with all it's vast resources couldn't find a guy simply because he changed his first name. There had to be more to that story. Those Storm Troopers must not have tried very hard to hunt down ol' Obi Wan.
While Attack of The Clones revealed that all the Storm Troopers are in fact copies of Bobba Fett's dad I choose to think of them as regular dudes that are only working for the Empire for the benefits package. -$
