The Green Lantern movie wasn't perfect. As I stated right after I saw it, Hal's CGI mask was distracting, Oa was too cartoony, and the smoke octopus Parallax was unacceptable. I still look at it as a fun, summer blockbuster and will pick it up once it is released on DVD.
Gint's opinion however has deteriorated over the past few months. While I enjoy Hal Jordan and his Corps, I don't have the close bond with him like my buddy does. I'm guessing it's similar to how I felt after seeing The Phantom Menace the first few times. As much as I told myself I liked it there was no shaking the feeling that it just wasn't a good film.-$
