What we here at Mc$oss would like to share with you today is some art from a couple young, aspiring comic fans. Xander (8 years old) and Xion (5 years old) are the sons of a some friends of ours (Hello, Wayne and Mandi).
Knowing I'm a big comic nerd, Wayne sends me frequent pics via phone of Xander and Xion's work. A Spider-Man here, a Wolverine there. But this time I got a personal call from Xander asking if we could showcase his work on Mc$oss since it was his first foray into sequential storytelling.
Why this is important to $oss and I is that at least a couple times a year we read about how the comics industry is losing readers and the average age of fans is just getting older and eventually the medium will die out. So for us its nice to see a younger generation start to gain that interest at an early age. I'm pretty sure if you like superheroes when you're 8, you're going to find them again when you're 28 and up.
So without further ado, I present "Atchoo" by Xander Wilson and a Spider-Man pin-up by his younger brother Xion. Nice work, boys.
