Welcome to the first official Gint's Pull List. In this blog I'll be projecting my hopes for the books of the week and seeing how they finish up once I read them.
Supergirl #60We'll read Supergirl with a little trepidation. This is the first issue for new writers Nick Spencer and James Peaty. Seeing how the old team of writer Sterling Gates and artist Jamal Igle were the first people to get me interested enough in Supergirl to buy her book, Spencer and Peaty have some lofty expectations to live up to.
Green Lantern Corps #56Tony Bedard's "The Weaponer" arc has been infinitely better than the previous one. Perhaps it took an arc to get his legs in the universe of the Green Lanterns. I still miss Patrick Gleason on art, but Tyler Kirkham has been solid.
Brightest Day #18Johns and Peter Tomasi. My bread and butter. While some parts have been slow and uninteresting, the whole has been a solid story. I'd like more Aquaman and Martian Manhunter, but I shouldn't complain since at least they're alive again.
I predict Brightest Day will be the winner in this week of 3 should be-solid books. Supergirl is the real wild card. Best of luck to Spencer and Peaty. We'll see you once I read them.
