Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was pretty disappointing. Not that I had high expectations going in but you always hope that your childhood heroes are treated with respect when they make it to the silver screen.
The films plot felt dated, the Turtles looked generally disturbing and the battles with Shedder felt like video game boss stages. While I did enjoy the interaction between the Turtles and the comedy was pretty good the bad still overshadowed anything fun this movie had to offer.
My least favorite thing was the decision to cast Johnny Knoxville as Leonardo. It pulled me out of the film every time he spoke. The proud leader of the Turtles should not sound like the leader of a bunch of dudes that put firecrackers in their ass. -Soss
