Back To The Monthly Grind

DC has done a fine job in reviving it's dormant franchises from the 1990's.  Scott Snyder slapped a fresh new coat of mossy paint on Swamp Thing while Jeff Lemire, Peter Milligan and Mikel Janin crafted an intriguing book using B-list magic based characters in Justice League Dark. This past month Neil Gaiman and J.H. Williams III delivered their first installment of the new Sandman book. The Distinguish Competition sure knows how to use it's bench. I'm just hoping that they have the good sense to leave Jesse Custer on the sidelines.

As you all know by now Preacher is my favorite comic series of all-time. I go back and read the tale in it's entirety at least once a year. The beauty of it is that it has a beginning and an end, not too common in comic books.

I don't need any additional adventures or flashbacks or side stories. While Jesse is pissed in this strip I'm sure he'd be even more upset to find himself in a life or death battle with Gorilla Grodd or Black Manta. -Soss
