I think my fury with Michael Bay peaked with the "Transformers" franchise. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were the last toys I was into before I grew out of toys (and reconnected a few years later with the Star Wars: Power of the Force figures). So being that I got into Turtles so late, I don't feel the same outrage I did over "Transformers." I guess I have less invested.
Michael Bay could have the budget to make a seriously cool Ninja Turtles movie. I could even handle them being aliens, and almost had his back. Then he said he's dropping the "Teenage" and "Mutant" parts of the title and well, Michael Bay is back to being Michael Bay.
Lets not forget that the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise most people know and love is the cartoon... which is DRASTICALLY different from the Kevin Eastman/Peter Laird original vision. Maybe Michael Bay will just create a new chapter like the cartoon.
